R. Skiles Kelley

Skiles Kelley was born in West Port, New York and spent his childhood as an Army brat living all over the United States and Japan. He attended high school in Heidelberg, Germany, and graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelor in Music. He resides in Houston with his wife and children.


Skiles began performing as a teenager and has toured with various concert promotions including Concerts West and Thunder Media Productions. Notable venues he’s played are; Heidelberg, Germany, Portland, Oregon, New Orleans, Louisiana and Houston, Texas. Since 1987, Skiles has been the lead accompanist with “Houston’s Queen of the Blues”, Pearl Murray, and he is a founding member and the lead guitarist with Houston band “The Tardy Boys”. In addition to performing and teaching, Skiles owns Rockin’ Robin Music School.


Skiles cares deeply about the Houston community and is involved with his children’s schools and activities. He is the former Cub Master of Cub Scout Pack 1730 and he is the current Assistant Scoutmaster Boy Scout Troop 730 at St. Anne Catholic School.
